Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI)

The Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI) assists users to find the latest information on their areas of expertise and interest.

IE Library provides the Selective Dissemination of Information service through different means.

The majority of our databases allow you to configure search or journal alerts. These alerts save valuable research time, and can be set up to provide automatic e-mail notification whenever new search results become available. Consult the tutorials of the databases that IE Library has suscribed to.

This service is also is available for all of our users through Dialnet, a national collaborative information retrieval platform.

Dialnet enables the distribution of updated information to all the members of the IE Community who request it.

  • Academic Journal Alerts: allow the user to select the academic journals and receive their tables of content every time a new issue joins Dialnet.
  • Search Alerts: allow the user to create a search strategy and receive a periodic email with the new references that are available in Dialnet, according to their profile preferences.

Faculty can register through the library contact or by following the Register process. Students, Alumni and Staff have to follow the Register process.

Once registered, you will need to select journals or searches of your interest. Then, you will receive the alerts for the requested information in your mail.
