EMEA Regional Council 2016

16 October 2015

Next year, the OCLC EMEA Regional Council Meeting of 2016 will take place in Madrid on the 1st and 2nd of March. The meeting will be about The Selfie Generation, a term that reflects the wave of young people growing up not just knowing the Internet, but living openly on it. The aim is to get to know, as they reach maturity and take their place in society and higher education, what can we learn about them and from them and the environments they inhabit, that will help us to serve this community now and in the future.

IE library, as an active part of its Executive Committee, is working jointly with OCLC's (Online Computer Library Center) on this congress, and the IE Community will take great part on it with speakers and volunteers that will help throughout all the process. It will also be a great opportunity for all the academic libraries to be more open internationally and share their good practices.
