IE Library open its doors to Asia and Africa.
In recent days we have received the visit of representatives of Tongfang Technology Knowledge Network (Beijing - China) and Knowledge and Information Services - The Gordon Institute of Business Sciences of the University of Pretoria (Pretoria - South Africa), to learn more about the technologies that we have implemented in our library, as well as the projects we are working on.
IE Library belongs to IE University / IE Business School, an innovative educational institution that makes an impact on education, offering a technology-based learning ecosystem, training the leaders of tomorrow to make positive change through innovation, global vision, an entrepreneurial mindset and a unique focus on the humanities. For this reason, IE Library is always in constant change and adaptation, and in this way has managed to become a leading global technological library.
They showed a special interest in knowing in depth our IE Library APP, a unique application in the world for the self-management of all the functions offered by the library. Our project with Pepper as a library assistant, in which we are currently working, was another strong point of both visits.
They visited the WOW Room of the institution, that breaks with the traditional onsite, blended and online education models to transform the learning experience through elements that include artificial intelligence. They also were able to test our proposals of Immersive Reality and Gamification at first hand.
