DESCRIPTION:Institutional Open Access repositories – theoretical issues & examples \nThe session will cover the basics of institutional Open Access repositories \nInstitutional Open Access repositories are tools for supporting\, disseminating and showcasing the institution’s educational and research outputs\, as well as an alternative to the high cost of academic journals. The session will cover the basics of institutional Open Access repositories\, including what they are\, their advantages\, difficulties\, and barriers for the institution\, contributing researchers\, and the general public\, their key characteristics\, mandates\, and policies\, the available software platforms\, how to configure a repository\, and the metadata used. To help illustrate the theoretical points\, examples and practical tips will be offered. \nSpeaker: \nDr Voichita Dragomir\, Librarian\, National University of Political Studies and Public Administration \nThe CIVICA institution hosting this event is the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA). DESCRIPTION:EDS: Personalización de su plataforma y reportes \n\n\nEsta sesión es de nivel avanzado y se dirige principalmente a los administradores de las bases de datos y todo aquel que desee conocer la plataforma de EBSCO Admin para la configuracion del EDS- EBSCO Discovery Service. \nLa duración será de 60 min. \nSe hará un repaso por cada una de las ventanas de la interfaz de EBSCOAdmin. Serán presentados de igual manera los siguientes puntos: las opciones de personalización de búsquedas y diseño\, bases de datos y enlaces\, modos de autenticación\, luego los reportes estadísticos.
