SUMMARY:CIVICA RESEARCH - Open Source Tools for Knowledge Representation
DESCRIPTION:Open Source Tools for Knowledge Representation \nThis session aims to highlight how essential data and information structuring became for fast retrieval and research optimization. \nWith the help of open source knowledge representation languages\, this session aims to highlight how essential data and information structuring became for fast retrieval and research optimization. Removing ambiguities\, efficient information ordering\, structuring into taxonomies\, and connecting them into ontologies and knowledge graphs have all been made possible thanks to the evolution of artificial intelligence-based systems. We want to demonstrate\, using examples and case studies\, how knowledge representation languages can organize and improve the information environment. \nSpeaker: \nDr Silvia-Adriana Tomescu\, Librarian\, National University of Political Studies and Public Administration \nThe CIVICA institution hosting this event is the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA). A Zoom link will be sent directly to registrants before the workshop. \nIf you have any questions regarding this event\, please contact Dr Kundai Sithole at k.sithole@lse.ac.uk. \nPlease note that video and audio will be recorded throughout this event. The recording will be made available\, in part or in full\, on the channels of CIVICA (Youtube and Zenodo)\, its members and partners. By participating in this event\, you automatically agree to be recorded. If you do not consent to being recorded\, please discuss your concerns with the event’s host.\n\nWed\, 15 March 2023\n\n11:00 – 12:00 CET\n\nONLINE\nRegister here
