Workshop. From ORCID to Google Scholar: How to manage your Digital Academic Profile
IEU Library – Guillermo & Michèle de la Dehesa, invites you to attend this practical workshop on managing your digital academic identity.
A consistent and well-managed digital academic identity is essential for any researcher, as it allows you to unify and standardise all the key information about your academic and professional journey. When author profiles are aligned, publications, projects, collaborations, institutional affiliations and funded research can be correctly attributed and easily accessed from a single place.
In this practical workshop, you will learn how to create, build and maintain a strong and coherent academic identity across the platforms that matter most. We will cover the following topics:
, Identify the purpose and scope of researcher identifiers (ORCID, WoS, Scopus, Google Scholar)
. Create, complete and update an ORCID profile
. Manage your ResearcherID profile on Web of Science and your Scopus Author ID
. Link profiles together to ensure consistency and automation
. Apply best practices for regular maintenance of your academic identity
We recommend bringing your laptop to make the most of the session.
Please note that the workshop will be recorded.
We look forward to seeing you then.
