OSVITORIA, one of the biggest NGOs in Ukraine has recently published a book with 80 teacher stories about war. How did academic institutions deal with the war? Were they able to teach properly about what’s happening in Ukraine?
Live to teach is a unique collection of teacher stories about the war, recounting their daily heroics on the educational front, their boundless care for the new generation of Ukrainian children and their unshakeable belief in common sense to overcome cruelty and ignorance.
This book has become a symbolic culmination of the year of resilience and change. As it is a limited edition, OSVITORIA has donated 100 books to different universities, and IE University was selected to receive this book and learn from this great example of storytelling, crisis communications and human resilience.
Thanks to IE Ukraine Club, we have received last week the book in our Library, and we will add it to our catalogue so anyone who want to read these experiences can do it. Our Library offers a wide range of products and services that promote the achievement of each one of the 17 SDGs . The Library demonstrates its involvement and commitment to society following the IE Strategy, and this is a great example of the SDG #16, related to peace, justice and strong institutions.
We have prepared in collaboration with IE Ukraine Club and IE Editorial some future actions about this book. Stay tuned!
