INTERNAL USERS
This service is used to borrow materials from other libraries outside of IE University Library’s holdings for research and study.
PROCEDURE:
- Every request must be submitted by filling out this form or clicking the “Request item through Interlibrary Loan” button in our catalog.
- Full e-books are not available for loan due to copyright restrictions, only a maximum of 10% of the book can be requested in electronic format. Please, note that it may take more than a week to arrive due to delays in customs or mail services.
- The estimated loan period for a printed copy will depend on the lender library policy. Renewals are not allowed.
- The loan is personal and non-transferable.
- Inquiries will be processed provided the user does not have pending fines and/or overdue materials.
- Note it may take longer to deliver hard-to-find, rare or out-of-print books.
Users are responsible for the materials during the loan period. If the material is lost or returned in poor condition, the holder must replace that material.
OCLC / REBIUN & OTHER CONSORTIA
External institutions can request the items through Tipasa, GTBib or through this form selecting the topic “Interlibrary Loan request”.
Documents ordered through this service can be used only for private, educational, or research-related needs. Their reproduction and use is regulated by current intellectual property law.
