Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI) assists users in finding the latest information regarding their areas of expertise and interest.
IE Library provides the Selective Dissemination of Information service through several means.
The majority of our databases allow you to configure search or journal alerts. These alerts save valuable research time, and can be set up to provide automatic e-mail notification whenever new search results become available. Check the tutorials of the databases that the Library has subscribed to.
Our Library also offers Qubits, a service that provides easy access and enables the use of specialized information which is collected in specific areas, allowing fast information retrieval.
You can go to Google Scholar to create your own alerts. Perform a search for your topic and learn more about the most relevant news in your research field.
This service is also is available for all of our users through Dialnet, a national collaborative information retrieval platform.
Dialnet enables distribution of updated information to all the members of the IE Community who request it.
Once you are registered, you will need to select journals or searches of your interest. Then, you will receive the alerts for the requested information in your email.
IE University is a member of the CIVICA—The European University of Social Sciences Alliance. Thus, the IEU researchers have access to trainings/webinars organize by the group. Check out the IEU Library Training Calendar for CIVICA events.
