IEU LIBRARY ATTENDS TO THE XXV JORNADAS DE GESTIÓN DE LA INFORMACIÓN

On April 17th and 18th, the IEU librarians had the opportunity to attend the XXV Jornadas de Gestión de la Información organized by SEDIC. The Spanish Society of Documentation and Information is dedicated to promoting the exchange of experiences and the training of librarians, archivists, and other information field professionals.

This XXV Conferences were held in Madrid’s Jardín Botánico and National Spanish Library. Among the valuable topics discussed, the focus was on the best practices implemented to conduct research and provide guidance to users. These practices prioritize ethics, quality of information, accessibility, interoperability, and information reuse. This aligns perfectly with our Library’s commitment to serving society following the IE Strategy.

Some of the workshops we participated in were related to applying Artificial Intelligence in Research, Scoping Review, and RStudio basics. This was an amazing opportunity to learn more about disruptive technologies and their application in libraries. Moreover, they have attended discussions about the latest news in research, the diverse perspectives between users and researchers, and the importance of information units in research.
