IE Library participates and votes on the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) Extraordinary General Assembly in Melbourne, Australia.

Last February in Melbourne, Australia, an extraordinary General Assembly was held by the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA), the leading international body that represents the interests of library and information services and their users. It is considered the global voice of the library and information profession.

IE Library, as an official member of IFLA, has participated on this international meeting, submitting its votes telematically. Among the voting subjetcts and topics, there are the New Statutes and Rules, the different reforms to IFLA’s governance, or the change of their regional structures which gives greater opportunities to Members such as IE Library to engage in IFLA’s work and influence.
