SUSTAINABLE LIBRARIES: AGENDA 2030 AND LIBRARIES

The Library, in order to strengthen its commitment to Sustainable Development Goals, attended the Course on “Sustainable Libraries: Agenda 2030 and Libraries” that took place at the Segovia Public Library.

Alicia Sellés, president of FESABID and coordinator of the Libraries and Agenda 2030 Working Group of the Library Cooperation Council, was in charge of this course, in which the attendees studied the 2030 agenda, and its applications in Spain and internationally. During the course, it was seen how the Agenda 2030 can be applied to libraries, if there are collaboration networks that help generate good practices as well as learn how to measure progress and know how to communicate it.

This course is part of the project “Sustainable libraries, the introduction of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in public libraries” which is carried out with the financial support of the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID).
