ANNUAL FREE RICE CHALLENGE

In our aims to  promote the achievement of each one of the 17 SDGs  the Library has participate in the Annual Free Rice Challenge, hosted by IE Rotaract Segovia.

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), 2020 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, is the world’s largest humanitarian organization, saving lives in emergencies and building a better future for people driven into hunger by conflict and the impact of climate change.

Freerice is an educational trivia game that helps you get smarter while making a difference for people around the world. Every question you answer correctly raises 10 grains of rice for the World Food Programme (WFP) to support its work saving and changing lives around the world. Since 2010, Freerice has raised more than 214 billion grains of rice for people in need.

This year’s efforts raised a total of 37,120 grains of rice and our team from the Library is the winner of the challenge, with a total of 13,160 grains of rice raised.

Every grain of rice counts, that’s why we encourage you to also participate in the initiative https://freerice.com/
