Interlibrary Loan Improvements and IEU Library’s Membership in the Global RSCVD Network

If you ever need a book or article that the IEU Library doesn’t have, our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Service is here to help. Through a simple online form, you can request materials from other libraries, and our team will work to obtain them for you. To make this process even clearer and easier to use, we’ve refreshed the ILL webpage so that the essential information is visible from the start.

At the same time, the Guillermo and Michèle de la Dehesa Library is expanding its global engagement by joining the RSCVD (Resource Sharing Collaborative and Voluntary Document Delivery) network, a worldwide community of volunteer libraries committed to providing equitable access to information.

RSCVD specialises in supplying copies of journal articles and book chapters, using TALARIA, its open-design software platform for fast and reliable document delivery. Since 10 November 2025, the IEU Library has been listed as a volunteer institution in the RSCVD directory, joining a network of 378 libraries across 42 countries, including 48 Spanish libraries. The initiative operates under the IFLA Document Delivery and Resource Sharing (DDRS) Committee, ensuring international professional standards.

Through this collaboration, IE Library participates in a charitable effort to share copies of articles and book chapters (free of charge) and support libraries in developing countries or regions with limited resources. This initiative reflects our commitment to sustainability, solidarity and worldwide knowledge-sharing, helping bridge information gaps and empower educational communities around the globe.

By combining an improved ILL Service with participation in a global sharing network, the IEU Library reinforces its mission: making high-quality academic resources accessible, understandable and truly available to the IE community.
